30 Aug – 1 Sept 2024. Moseley Park, Birmingham.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Survey, we really appreciate you taking the time to answer our questions and share your honest opinions and constructive suggestions on this year’s festival.

We’ve focused on the main improvements you’ve highlighted and want to be as open and honest about our hopeful solutions. Our aim is to make 2023 the magical family-friendly folk escape we’ve always strived for.

Check out all our improvements below!

Food Options

We pride ourselves on always bringing the very best food and drink caterers that Birmingham has to offer – what other music festival forces you to choose between a Bonehead or a Zindya? Next year is only going to get better as we’ll be adding a wider selection of vegan offerings and are talking to several local providers we know will knock your socks off. If anyone would like to suggest a particular festival caterer please let us know.

Non-alcoholic / Low alcohol options

2023 will see a much wider selection on offer including Ciders, Lagers, IPA’s, Kombuchas, and healthier Soft Drinks.

Re-entry

We appreciate your patience with us in 2022 whilst we tested our newest ticket entry system. As you know, we implemented this to help manage the volume of people now joining us every year and to keep everyone safe from overcrowding at the entrance and in the park. From your feedback, overall, the process was good but minor changes were needed to support your needs, which we hope we’ve accommodated below.

We understand that no re-entry has meant changes to our regular local visitors and the way you enjoy the festival, but we just can no longer continue to safely manage the flow of people coming and going to and from the festival down our narrow entrance. We’re by no means alone in not having the resources to allow thousands of people to come in and out while keeping our event safe.

However, we do want to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs, and if you do have a genuine need to leave once during the day for reasons such as taking your children home, disability access etc, we can accommodate where possible. At the discretion of security on the door, we have introduced a limited pass-out system to help this work safely. As you leave, share your reason, make sure you get scanned out with a pass-out pass and when you return scan back in.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us directly for more specific requirements and we’ll always try our best to help.

Ticket Touts

A side note to the above, Touts have always been an issue for the festival, especially for those that fall prey to invalid ticket purchases. So as a reminder, please refrain from selling your tickets to touts outside or purchasing from them, we can’t guarantee their validity. Please also refrain from handing wristbands over to touts as you leave or anyone else, as they are non-transferable and won’t gain them entry.

Speakers corner stage

In the future, we will be looking at how Speakers Corner will work, in terms of stage volume, access, space and who performs. We are limited to the space in Moseley Park but we will do everything we can to make sure everyone can get a chance to see an act they came to see. It’s always disappointing at a festival when you can’t access an act’s tent, we’ve all been there, especially at smaller intimate festivals like ourselves! However, we have made some changes to our website layout and future communications to highlight the limited capacity acts, including on the artist’s page – helping you plan your day so you don’t miss out!

More Stalls and things to do outside of Music

We’ll be bringing back a number of different stalls for you to nose around during your time at the festival, plus further entertainment for you to discover. Announcements on who will be joining us will come in the New Year so please keep those eyes peeled.

Line up schedule shared before

We’ve heard and listened to your requests for better access to the schedule and going forward you will now be able to view it via our website. We’ve launched a new website where we aim to allow you to access the schedule two weeks prior to the festival in a timeline format so you can plan before, and also have access to it whilst on site. Plus, our new website is much clearer with information on how to get here, questions about tickets and what to expect on the weekend. Please make sure to read everything thoroughly. Schedules are subject to change on the weekend.
